The band was saddened by the sudden death of its director, Mr. Allen Conn. Mr. Charles Diezman directed the band during the remainder of the first semester. Mr. Richard Price of Logan, Ohio, a recent graduate of Ohio University, assumed the duty of director for the second semester. The band members maintained a practice schedule throughout the entire year. The band members entertained the public at football games, presented an annual spring concert, and participated in various musical contests. An added feature of the group was the Pep Band. This group played at all the home basketball games and pep rallies. 30
