The Girls' Athletic Association, consisting of 162 members, is one of the largest organizations in our school. It is under the supervision of Mrs. Judy Hirsch. The purpose of the G.A.A, is to increase interest and participation in wholesome physical activity and recreation, encourage good sportsmanship, and promote better standards of health among the students of New Lexington High School. The G.A.A. point system is offered to all members from freshman through senior years. This system makes it possible for every member to earn awards. Projects for the G.A.A. thisyearwere selling G.A.A. sweatshirts, pennants, and sponsoring the annual Kick-Off Dance. The 1965-66 officers were Sandi Williams, president; Joann DePinto, vice-president; Karon Kishler, secretary; Tamy Danison, Treasurer; and Karen Shumaker and Ellen Callahan, point chairmen.
