Third Row: Rick Bruckelmyer, Steve Mohler, Roy Sinift, Mike Snyder, Jerry Householder. The Vocational Agriculture Department, under the direction of Mr. Lee Folk, consists of five fields: livestock production, crop production, agriculture engineering, farm management, and Future Farmers of America. The F.F.A. organization is a part of the total vocational agriculture program. It is a national chapter organization with chapters in all fifty states. Officers of the New Lexington Chapter for the 1965-66 year were Jim Brown, president; Jerry Householder, vice-president; Jay Householder, treasurer; Doug Bauer, secretary; Ed Fink, sentinel; Bill Newlon, reporter; and Mike Snyder, student advisor. The F.F.A. engages in a wide range of activities. Some of these activities are state judging contests, parliamentary procedure contests, monthly meetings, and county and state fairs. Achievement awards are offered each year for F.F.A. members. Pins can be earned in various ways. Ways of earning degrees include: attendance at meetings, parliamentary procedure, outstanding farming programs, and other leadership and agricultural achievements. 17
