All book knowledge we've stored in our heads, Wnile the lower classmen were snug in their beds. ln all our school proiects we've had loads of fun. ln each class year we've kept on the run. As sophomores we sponsored a Halloween dance, As juniors we planned our Prom weeks in advance, As seniors we worked as hard as could be, On this yearbook and it payed off, don't you see? Oh, we'll never forget our Junior Class Play, And last but not least our Graduation Dayl Dear classmates and teachers of New Lex High, We'll never forget you though we must say good-bye. Though we struggled through Latin, history, and math. We can now look back with fond memories and laughl ln chemistry lab we had great notions, But they always ended with terrific explosions. As we sit here in study hall today, We cannot express what we want to say. But is it with deep regret and a tear in our eye. That we bid thee farewell dear old NEW LEX HIGH! ---JOYCE FOLDEN Class Poet 30 La
