It was a bright day on September 8 1942 The sun beamed down on a class which was to be one of the most iemarkable classes New Lex ington High School had QNGI seen This w as the class of 1946 To a few the next four Veais would be drudgery and hard work but to many this was going to be pe1haps the happiest four years in their lixes As the faculty watched this gioup they we1e sure theie was much talent present but much more knowledge needed The upper classmen razzed us continually and we weie compelled to strain our vocal chords on the Alma Mater M915 soon we would come to the end of our first year in high school which was successfully led by Robeita McM1llan our president Exelyn Stimmel yice president Vkinified Melyin secietaiy and Charlotte Rich ards tieasuler We assembled again the following yeai and now it was our turn to laugh at the pooi green fi eshmen By this time we were well established with members of the class entering into spoits plays and opeiettas With Mark Iforquer president Oscar Seaman yice president James Haidy ful year Now came our Iunioi yeai with a yen important exent coming Of cou1se ' The QYGI famous Junior Semoi reception Juniors hur lied and scuiiied to iaisc moncx for this gay festixal Vle nexei shall forget the loxclx gowns and light spilng suits With Bob Clouse as pies ident Charlotte Richards xice piesident MZ1l1lXI1Xll3.g'I1Gl secretary and James Haidy treasuiei we sponsoicd onc of the most gay celebrations exei to be hcld Our Junior Class Play under the diiection of Miss Greene was also a success. We left a lasting impression in our little boy and girl outfits. And now' came the last lap of our four year journey.
