I . H. Q. to be labeled Freshmen so did we in our turn enter the halls. Pride in our class we may have but we c mnot hon- estly claim a beginning more auspicious than those of our predecessors. We found our- selves in a new w orld of schedules, room numbers and many strange faces. It was not long however until we were able to make some order out of chaos. less often did we make Freshman blunders and names and personalities became attached to faces. To complete our organization the following officers were elected: President Dan Jenkins' Vice President, Brannon Everitt' Secretary, Rose Donahoeg Treasurer, Leroy Townsend. Proud upper cilassmen might brag of qual- ity not quantity but this Freshman class of eighty tue was detei mined to show them that it possessed both attl ibutes Nl e plompt ly launched into social actiyities with a Htl lowe en paity given at the school house ind enteiprises we made oui presence felt Sex eifil membeis contributed to ithlctics and music and as a whole the class acquitted it self w ell in a scholastic vsax Thus the xeai passed X 'ication nearing its close it was with pride and eagerness that we anticipated the fol- lowing year when we should enter the new school building. lf r the first f v cl-iys though our newly-acquired Sophomore pride suffered as we experienced again our early trials we knew little more than the Fresh- men where to find ourselves. With the rest of the classes, we soon became adjusted and as before gave our enthusiastic support to all school enterprises. We do not find a record of m-my social events during this year. Perhaps we found more scholastic endeavors necessary having encountered Ciesar and Geometry those subjects to m-my were 1 thorn in the flesh. This year our fortunes were guided by Joseph Page as President' Dan Jenkins Vice Presidentg Leroy Townsend Secretaryg and Brannon Everitt, Treasurer.
