The iournal club is composed of the students of the English 12 and Typing ll classes. The Eng- lish class, with Janice Aufderhaar as editor and Mrs. Haberkamp as advisor, wrote the material, while the typing class, with Jane Henkener as production editor and Mr. Hoover as advisor handled the typing and printing of the Ivy Log . The lvy Log is a new kind of school publi- cation, combining the functions of a newspaper- and literary iournal. Eight issues were published during the year, with a circulation of 250 copies, each issue with approximately 60 pages. pkofogralaky The photography club, with Mr. Hoover as advisor, has made much progress during this, its second year. This is evidenced by the pictures in this 1957 Memoir, most of which were taken, developed, and printed by the members of the club. ln addi- tion some pictures had to be enlarged, some had to be cut, and others reprinted. ln order to raise funds for equipment, the club sold pictures of school activities and parties to the students. We wish the club continued success in the coming years. First Row: Don Warner, Elmer Neuman, Bill Sudman, Second Row: Mr. Kelley, Advisor, Roger Moellenkamp, Dennis Lammers. Twelve The New Knoxville Chapter of the Future Farmers of America had a membership of eight- een - four freshmen, nine sophomores, three iuniors, and two seniors. Some of the outstanding activities were at- tending and showing proiects at the county and State fairs, a pest hunt, attending camp, a iudg- ing contest, and banquet at which Miss Jean Gritzmaker was chosen F. F. A. Chapter Queen. We participated in the F. F. A. Foundation Program which consisted of such activities as public speaking contest, Flying Farmer Contest, highway safety, and community service. .
