The Energy Crisis arrived in 1974 and we were forced to adapt to new ways of living. Basketball schedules were shortened and field trips were cancelled due to the fuel shortage. This also meant colder classrooms and a change to Daylight Saving Time with school hours 10-4. Despite all of these problems, the students and faculty were busy preparing for the school eval- uation. School was dismissed early on days that committee meetings were held and general re- pairs were made in order to spruce up the school- for the evaluation committee. Student tours were given and each classroom was outfitted with a specially painted blue and white chair for the evaluators.
