OUR NEW SCHOOL The new New Kensington High School is one of our greatest sources of pride in this growing community. Construction began on July 10, 1955, when Pat Sharkey and Eugene Collodi helped to break ground for the building. Later Virginia Morgan and Bruce Shaw assisted in laying the cornerstone. The school is located in a beautiful valley which is one of the scenic spots of the area. It is fully equipped with the most modern facilities available. Some of the highlights of this building are the spacious cafeteria, the modern gym, and the comfortable auditorium. Although it has had no time to build up a tradition, this new building is enveloped with a warm, friendly atmosphere.
