Baan! of Zcfucalian Seated: Mr. Blackburn, Dr. Vonderheid, Mr. Kronkoski, Mr. Fisher, Mr. Patterson, Mr. Daughen- baugh, Mr. Vaughan. Standing: Mr. McKean, Miss Mazur, Dr. Chapman. The Board ot Education is comprised of a group ot civic-minded men who meet regularly to discuss the financial and personnel problems in the New Kensington schools. Their job also includes making many decisions and help- ing to solve the problems involving the interest and welfare ot the student body. They have given their time generously to see that the boys and girls ot this city receive the proper schooling. We, the class ot l948, Wish to acknowledge a debt ot gratitude to the Board of Education, Having attended the New Kensington schools for twelve years, we realize how much we owe to these men tor their highly appreciated ettorts. The members of the board are Mr. Cecil Fisher, president, Mr. Iames Pat- terson, lr., vice-president, Mr. A. F. Daughenbaugh, treasurer, Mr. E. H. Black- burn, Mr. F. E. Kronkoski, Mr. C. H. Vaughan, lr., and Dr. C. G. Vonderheid, lr. Miss Veronica Mazur is secretary and Mr. Frank McKean, solicitor. Dr. E. T. Chapman is superintendent of schools. S

For several years you have been looking forward with eager interest to the time when you would be seniors. Well,f- here you are, ready tor graduation on May 25th, 1948. A high school education is not a guarantee of success in lite, but it goes a long, long Way in that direction. You are now in the enviable position ot being a Ken High graduate, but there will be thousands of other high school graduates this year. Look about you thoughtfully and choose wisely in the Work you now undertake. Then give to that Work the best that is in you. In this Way and in this Way only can you achieve success.
