Four years ago I shared with the Class of 1966 my freshman year at Trenton State College, so I feel a strong sense of identity with this par- ticular group of seniors. To look back over these four years here is most gratifying, for we see visible evidence of the constructive development and expansion which this college has made. You, the Senior Class, have contributed actively and vitally to this growth. You faced the incon- veniences and frustrations accompanying a large- scale campus building program with an accepting sense of humor and adjusted to the difficulties of living and working in outgrown facilities with an optimistic look to the future. You assumed with maturity and good judgment the responsi- bility offered you to participate in college policy- making. As a consequence, morale is high and student contribution to the accomplishments of the campus community is significant. You have been creative, introducing and supporting such innovations as a highly effective plan for fresh- man orientation, a meaningful and unique pro- gram of sensitivity training for campus leaders, and an active student involvement and interest in curriculum development. You have sought earnestly to build strong student-faculty rela- tionships and mutual understanding. Thus, in many ways you have left your imprint upon Trenton State College and those of us who remain here are most appreciative, for we are the benefactors of your loyal concern and active interest. I am sure each Senior taking with you this positive, forward-looking attitude will be- come a welcome addition to the community of your choice. DR.
