Included among the 'levitable class and office rooms he structure holds environmental lontrol chambers, psychological lbservation rooms and a large ground floor lounge. lt is also he only building with its own iersonal tragedy. During con- truction a worker touching a aulty wire electrocuted himself.

Built in 1970, Flossey is the tallest building on campus. It is also probably the most used. lt holds six floors of classroom and office space. Among the departmental offices con- tained there, are the History, Sociology, Music, Geoscience, and Geography. Although primarily a classroom building, indeed probably two thirds of all classes are held there, Flossey also holds the College Computer Center and Medical offices in addition to a couple of research labs for Geoscience and Sociology. Also to be found here is the inter- national Studies Department and Reading!Language Arts Departments

Grossnickle Hall was the second building to be erected on the Jersey City State College campus. Construct- ion beginning in 1962 it was opened for classes in 1963. Originally meant to hold all arts and sciences courses the building also contained another auditorium and a greenhouse for the science department. With the expansion of the campus Grossnickle today houses the Art, Mathematics, Economics, Philosophy and Political Science Departmental offices together with most of the classrooms needed for their courses.
