Tomahawk missiles are the Navyis most sophis- ticated ship-launched cruise missiles. There are anti-ship and land-attack versions with ranges up to 250 and 700 miles respectively. Harpoon anti-ship missiles are quite capable of fighting a naval battle in their own right, though not as sophisticated as the Tomahawks. Their range is up to 60 nautical miles and the battleship carries 16 of them.
