Science Club NO SMOKING Under the supervision of Mr. Tompkins, the Scienc e Club worked to stimulate interest in all fields of science. Bus Drivers The transporting of students to and from school is a large responsibility on the part of the bus drivers. This year ' s bus drivers are: Fred Harvell, Gary Lancaster, Gary Hill, Earl Lancaster, Jimmy Best, Edith Thompson, Thomas Stafford, Kay Wheeless, Douglas Wiggins, Phyllis Smith, B. J. Person, Connie Wade, Harold Lancaster, Cornelia Sullivan, George Buck, Margaret Best, and Delbert Daniels. 28

Pep Club The Pep Club consists of active members of the student body, who like to show their enthusiasm in the school activities. Quill and Scroll The Quill and Scroll is made up of students who have done superior work on a school publication. They are in the upper third of their class. The members are: Margaret Best, Cornelia Sullivan, Sandra Wheeler, Kay Hinson, Diane Hill, Kay Wheeless, Phyllis Smith, Jan Clayton, Tony Creech, Cindy Warren, Bonnie Strickland, Thomas Smith, Bonnie Hill, and Mrs. Cook; Sponsor. 27

This year we have thirty-two Gray Ladies. They are: First row (Left to Right) Mrs. Newsome, Mrs. Hinnant, Mrs. Best, Mrs. Rhodes, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Finer, Mrs. Gray, Mrs. Edwards, Mrs. Owens, and Mrs. Best. Second row: Mrs. Strickland, Mrs. Chaffin, Mrs. Brasington, Mrs. Adkins, Mrs. Hare, Mrs. Grant, Mrs. Boykin, Mrs. Grant, Mrs. Casey, Mrs. Childre, and Mrs. Dewitt. Third row: Mrs. Lynch, Mrs. Hopkins, Mrs. Hinson, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Warner, Mrs. Conner, Mrs. Sugg, Mrs. Nickens, Mrs. Cooper, Mrs. Gardner, and Mrs. Garris. Gray Ladies The Gray Ladies are trained in first aid and are ready to help in any emergency. There are two volunteers pre- sent at school to take care of the m inor accidents of a school day.
