NOT Pl-IOT OGRAPHED Derwood Smith Ray Smith Class Prophecy After teaching for ten years in the state of California, I returned home for a vacation and a visit with my family and old schoolmates. I went over to see my old friend Pat Chaf- fin Anderson and we began to reminisce about high school days. She proceeded to bring me up-to-date. She told me that our friend Linda Corbett is now married to Billy Stewart and they have three lovely children. Bobby Person and Horace Best own a used car lot jointly. They're making loads of money. I was very sorry to learn that Phillip Allen had been executed for bumping-off a wit- ness to one of his crimes. May he rest in peace. Dosia Laws is now a laboratory technician at Duke Hospital while her three good friends, Jane Smith, Sandra Buck, and Faye Wells are busy making their own formulas at home Qmilkj. Edward Lee Daniels and Albert Smith are doing well for themselves in a large business concern. Edward is presidentg Albert, vice-presidentg and Myra Gray, their private secre- tary. Carolyn and Joseph Kopack own a large ranch in Colorado. Mesdames Judy Adking and Rose Stoneburner are happily raising families here in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Charles Daniels, Chris Lancaster, and Durwood Smith own and operate an American Business College. Faye Massey, Ann Butts, Elizabeth Daw, and Joan Kearney, the married veterans of the class, are still happily married with several youngsters around to keep them company. Toby Roberts is now using his athletic ability as coach of the University of North Caro- lina Tarheels. Charles Sutton is now an interior decorator with Pat Lancaster as his assistant. David and Becky Kneeshaw and Peggy and Frankie Watson are very happily married. David is teaching agriculture and Frankie owns his own service station. Paul Uzzell and Bobby Forrest are busy making loads of Moonshine. Ronald Edwards owns a night club with Betty Lou Benton and Hilda Grace Tyndall as chorus girls. He has Spencer Langston employed as a comedian and he steals the show every night. Faye Phillips, Linda Harber, Brinda Turnage, and Brenda Smith are busy making their homes delightful places in which to live. Any minute now Freddie Martin will probably be zooming over our heads in his F-l, OOO, 000, OOO jet plane. Let's hope he makes it over. Carol Vandiford manages a kindergarten school and Evelyn Best is her assistant. Ray and Larry Smith each own a large farm in the New Hope Township. I was very happy to learn the whereabouts of all my former classmates during my short visit back to New Hope. 1 I W I . i 1 -9' X , Bw.
