The FHA, under the leadership of Mrs. Edna Hamer, completed a highly successful year. This year's club activities included participating in the annual Stanley sales and carrying fruit baskets to a Huntsville Nursing home. In addition the FHA members attended the Co-op '76 Trade Fair in Birmingham. Teri and Jimmg Parhcnpale This year the Science Club was again sponsored by Ms. Margo Saddler. Leading the club this year were Teri Certain, president: Jackie McCutcheon, vice-presidentg Eliz- abeth Rollings, secretary: Sherri Mitchell, assistant secretaryg Teri Chaffin, treasurer: and Woody Furnas and Rodney Gipson, sergeant-at-arms. In addition Ruby Mann served as Alabama Junior Academy of Science treasurer and NAJAS president. Members participated in the 5th annual Scientific Paper Contest. Local winners were Donna Thornton 1st and Susan Maples 2nd under the physical-biologi- cal category. Wynema Clayton 1st, Jimmy Mayo 2nd, and Mark Bergman Honorable Mention in the category of humanities. Regional winners were Teri Certain, lst in physical science Jimmy Mayo, lst in humanities, and Donna Thornton 3rd in biological science. Q
