THE SPOTLIGHT Has Busg Year I fi .. W L. it The school newspaper, THE SPOTLIGHT, had a busy and suc- cessful year. The staff involved the student body by conducting opinion polls and sponsoring an essay contest. To pay for repairing the Oli- vetti Editors typewriter on which paper articles are typed , the staff also sold advertising space in the paper in the forms of hearts, pumpkins, and Christmas stock- ings. This year, the staff brightened the paper with more pictures and illustrations than had been used in the past years, and student artists designed various ad pages during the year. The staff toured The Huntsville Times, where they watched the production of the paper. Under the direction of Faye Jones and Mrs. Brawley, THE SPOTLIGHT staff produced two 12-page, one 10-page, and six 8-page issues. a swvwnmwf-ww
