INDIAN Qiaff Works Diligenilg ,. as RUBY MANN - Editor BETH CLARK - Lay-Out Editor Writing copy, cropping pic- tures and selling advertisements and subscriptions kept the entire staff busy throughout the year. Because of long hours of hard work, the dedicated staff never failed to meet a required dead- line. In the summer Ruby Mann, editor, and Beth Clark, layout editor, attended a yearbook sem- inar at Auburn University. There, they gained valuable information concerning layout designs, themes, and cover designs, After much work, they won a trophy for having prepared an outstanding dummy. While at Auburn, they also decided upon this year's theme, Expres- sions. Mrs. Mildred Brawley, spon- sor, contributed advice on crop- ping pictures, drawing layouts, and writing copy.

Debbie 9ubIeH Debbie, who was voted Most Dependa- ble by the Senior class, was typist for THE SPOTLIGHT, a member of the National Honor Society, Science Club, Junior Civitan, and Flag Corps. She also won the Betty Crocker Family Leader of Tomorrow Award. Her interests include playing the piano, reading, playing tennis, and watching all sports. Debbie plans to enter Jacksonville State University in the fall to work toward a major in accounting. Darlene Wrighi I Darlene, who was a majorette and a member of the Band Council, partici- pated in Junior Civitan, National Honor Society, and Science Club. She also served as typist for the INDIAN. In addi- tion, she wrote articles and sold ads for THE SPOTLIGHT. J Her hobbies include twirling, reading, bowling. cooking, and dancing. y She plans to enter the University of Alabama in Huntsville in the fall to pur-. sue a career in medical technology.
