Mrs. Imogene Whitaker, secretary, received all money, wrote checks, balanced books, and kept the payroll. Mrs. Sybil Whitaker, secretary-receptionist, answered the telephone, typed, and kept studem records and attendance reports. In addition, she alsd ran the Xerox machine. Mrs. Doris Walls, aide, collected lunch money ir the cafeteria. Mrs. Louise Butler, Middle School office and instructional aide, obtained reading material foi Title I students. In addition to her administrative duties, she taught Title I classes for students with special needs in reading. Mr. Jack Mitchell served this year as Director of the Community School. Mr. Mitchell, who also taught math in the high school, organized and directed the New Hope branch of Northeast Alabama State Junior College. ' Ms. June Buckelew, guidance counselor, con- ducted diagnostic tests and provided statistical data to assist in curricular development and evaluation. Tommie lean Watts braries Provide Wealih of Information Mrs. Mary Beth Duncan This year in the libraries students found a wealth of information which included that in books and on records, tapes, filmstrips, pictures, and maps. Miss Carpenter again served as high school librar- ian. Mrs. Duncan, elementary librarian, and Mrs. Watts, librarian aid, were added to this year's staff. Builer Evaluaies Qiudeni Drivers Mr. John Butler, driving instructor, conducted ivers Education classes this year. The students not only took part in replay and reac- n drills in the classroom but also were evaluated their concentration, observation, and alertness in iving conditions. 3 Mr . Paul Maupin Mr . John Butler Maupin lnsirucis Music Mr. Paul Maupin taught public school music to fifth and sixth grade students. He was also responsible for directing the high school, middle school, beginner, marching, and concert bands .
