A slow start in the first game of the season prove be the only blemish on the Indians' 9-1 record, the best record ever at New Hope High School. The Tribe broke only the record for the most points scored in a single game by a New Hope team 1755, but also the record for the r points scored in one season 42743. Another of the exploitations by the group was the capture of the coveted Col Championship, which was won in good fashion by defeating all other county opponents for a perfect 5-0 recor county play. Above all, was their accomplishment of overcoming all obstacles, no matter how great. t The Indians owed their success to a group of dedicated coaches - Head Coach Allen Paseur, and Assistant Coal Frank Buress, Steve Hargrove, and Dewayne Clayton - as well as to the winning attitude and perseverance of players themselves. .fn This year's coaches were Steve Hargrove. assistant: Frank Burgess, assis- Managers for the team were Timmy Thompson, Barry Essli tant: and Allen Paseur, head. and Bill Baxley. 9-I Record JOHN COOPER - Senior Runningback JEFF BUTLER - Senior Quarterback WOODY FURNAS - Senior Center MVP All-County All-Coumy A11-Coumy X! The team had little trouble amassing points, thanks to a powerful offense and some fancy ball handling. You left a deep and lasting impression on us. Donna, we don't understand why God took you so soon. You were so full of life and were given such a short time here. In time we will understand why he took you. We know that you are with him, watching over us and waiting for us. Because we know that, we'11 meet again. We don't say Good-bye but Au-revoir.
