Kenneth Herr, this issue of Leoninus has been dedicated out ofthe heartfelt thanks of each member of the senior class for the many times we have turned to you in time of need for guidance in the many problems confronting us in our high school years. Your readiness to help in time of need and your genial manner have brought you very near to those who have been under your guidance for the past years. Beyond the words of counsel and advice stands the splendid Christian character of a man who truly lives the creed he professes. This, Mr. Herr, we recognize above all else. This dedication is our way of expressing a sincere thank you for your unselfish atten- tion to our problems. We hope that in this way we may partially repay our debt to you. 4

The aim of the 1956 Leoninus staffs has been to depict in pictures the highlights of your four years in t New Holland High School, and to recall to your memory the changes that have evolved even during the lifetime of each of us. APPRECIATION As a token of their appreciation to all those people who have helped in any way to make their school life a fuller and more fruitful one, the class of 1956 has chosen to dedi- cate this space to a small, but sincere thank you message. To our parents who stood by with understanding and wise counsel, to the each and every one person on the school staff, and many others who have made the way a little easier for us, this space is dedicated as a fragment of our gratitude. In the busy schedule of our school days we may have overlooked many of the kind jestures extended to us, but behind these words, in the minds of each one of us is embedded a deep gratitude which will grow ever more meaningful as we face the life of tomorrow. And so, to you, whatever capacity you may have influenced us, we pause to extend this grateful note of thanks for helping us along our way of preparation to face a new and different world tomorrow. 5
