Where's page six? Who's seen the varsity basketball photo? We've got a deadline to meet! You've guessed it. That was Jean, our frustrated little yearbook editor. Frustrated only for about four months, understand, until the Leoninus was rewritten and re- paged skingteen times and finally was intact and in the publish- ers' hands. Before editorship, all of Jean's spare time was spent in sports, either as a spectator or a participant. As co-captain of hockey and captain of the basketball team, she led both groups through very successful seasons. Jean enjoys athletics so thor- oughly that she's decided to major in physical education at East Stroudsburg State Teachers College. For six years he has been manager for all of New Holland High's athletic activities. In his Junior and Senior years, Nub- bie held the title of Senior Manager. As Mr. Morrow in our production of Seventeenth Sum- mer , he displayed talent in the Held of dramatics. Roy expects to further his education in Photography at Rochester, New York. Dot, a blue-eyed brunette, came from Blue Ball to New Hol- land in fifth grade. Her sense of humor has won her many friends, as has her hobby of writing letters. Dot has penpals from all over the world. At one time she wrote to thirty-four people. Dot works as part-time clerk-typist at the New Holland Ma- chine Company. After graduation. she hopes to become a full- time worker for this company. We hope Dot finds success and happiness in the world which awaits her.

Her love of fun and sense of humor have gotten her into, and out of, many amusing situations. Joyce can always be depended upon to lend a helping hand when iiieded. These traits have been very valuable to her as school 1 rarian. This lively lass has a part-time job as a waitress at People's Restaurant. Jo's pleasant disposition, good sportsmanship, re- liability and friendliness should take her far in the field of nursing, her chosen career. john Arnold Bair January 29, 1935 Arnie l 'fArnie joined our ranks in the twelfth grade. His mis- chlevlous smile can be frequently seen in a classroom, as pranks are his specialty. History is his favorite subject. He proved his ability in that field by topping everyone in our grade to win the Pennsylvania Week Contest in New Holland High School. Stamp collecting also interests Arnold. He began his collec- tion when he was in seventh grade. Arnold is not certain of his post-graduation plans, but we know he will be a valuable addition to any vocation. Pauline Estelle Binlaley October 26, 1934 Polly Senior Chorus Q1,2,3Jg Basketball Manager 1219 Town Clock News Editorial Staff 13,413 Leonlnus Edi- torial Staff 141. Polly is known for her gay personality. She is one of those rare individuals who seem absolutely immune to spells of ill humor. Her trademark is the deep dimple that was caught by the photographer in her graduation picture. Bonjour madame, monsieurf' No, there are no foreigners enrolled at N.H.H.S.3 it's only Polly , one of Miss Witman's five French II girls. They take their French seriously and like to put it to use on bewildered classmates. Pauline's main ambition, from childhood up. has always been nursing. Unlike many little girls she clung to that dream, and it will finally be realized when she enters training at the Lancaster General Hospital in the fall.

her participation in numerous activities. Evidence of her ability in the business field was proven, when in her senior year, she capably served as both class and office secretary. This dimpled miss always has a Hi and a friendly smile for everyone. Nice is her favorite expression, and friends find it rather contagious. After graduation Connie plans to hold a secretarial posi- tion in an oiiice. Her commercial training has ably prepared her for this work. The class of '52 welcomed a very industrious student to its ranks in ninth grade. Anna was found to be full of fun IH addi- tion to being studious. During her spare time, Anna enjoys roller skating, reading a good book, or listening to music. She also likes to play the piano occasionally. She has proven this statement by her participation in a wide range of activities. This past year, Judy was selected by the members of our grade to receive the Daughters of the American Revolution good citizen award. Judy is interested in the field of art. Her ability in this realm was proven when she so capably directed the decoration committee for the Junior-Senior Reception. Music also captures the fancy of this popular miss. She was featured as a soloist at the annual Christmas Carol Service for the past two years. After graduation, Judy plans to begin summer school im- mediately, majoring in elementary teaching at Millersville State Teacher's College.
