However, we made one very swift and unanimous de- cision this year, that our yearbook be dedicated to Miss Ruth A. Witman. Miss Witman has been our homeroom advisor for the past four years. We sincerely appreciate the hours of free time she so willingly sacrificed to work with us in our innumerable extra- curricular activities. She's been not only a helpful advisor, but an understanding friend, oiering advice and aiding us in the trying growing-up period. To you, Miss Witman, we give our heartfelt appreciation for your unselfish efforts that helped to make these years truly the best years of our lives . ri 1011 9 I I U I 0:0 o'o 4 1 - - X11 wif 553 5 iff- . His mis- chlevlous smile can be frequently seen in a classroom, as pranks are his specialty. History is his favorite subject. He proved his ability in that field by topping everyone in our grade to win the Pennsylvania Week Contest in New Holland High School. Stamp collecting also interests Arnold. He began his collec- tion when he was in seventh grade. Arnold is not certain of his post-graduation plans, but we know he will be a valuable addition to any vocation. Polly is known for her gay personality. She is one of those rare individuals who seem absolutely immune to spells of ill humor. Her trademark is the deep dimple that was caught by the photographer in her graduation picture. Bonjour madame, monsieurf' No, there are no foreigners enrolled at N.H.H.S.3 it's only Polly , one of Miss Witman's five French II girls. They take their French seriously and like to put it to use on bewildered classmates. Pauline's main ambition, from childhood up. has always been nursing. Unlike many little girls she clung to that dream, and it will finally be realized when she enters training at the Lancaster General Hospital in the fall. fean Elizabeth Brubaker November 18, 1934 Jean Class Treasurer 11,3,415 Chorus 11,215 Student Coun- cil 13,415 TCN Editorial Staff 12,3,415 Quill and Scroll 13,415 Cheerleading 12,3,415 Hockey 13,415 Hockey Co- Captain 1415 Basketball 13,415 Basketball Captain 1415 Tennis 13,415 Senior Play Understudy and Prompter 1415 Leoninus Editor 1415 Tumbling Club 12,31. Now where could we find a toy automobile? Yes, that's Ray hunting for props for the Town Clock News Revue. He has been the capable chai1'man of many property committees dur- ing his years in school. Most of his spare time is spent working at his father's filling station. His foremost ambition is to own his own garage. As can be seen by his picture, this amiable fellow has a friendly, winning smile. Bob can always be found laughing and joking with a crowd of classmates. His interests lie in the field of sports, mainly centering about baseball, but soccer and basketball also 1'ank high with him. At the present Bob spends his spare time working at Dick- inson's Garage. He is uncertain of his future plans. Leoninus Editorial Staff . . . And that kind of production re- quires a lot of planning, as Robert L. Re-ssler, Vice President for Manufacturing of New Holland Machine Company, points out to lean Brubaker, editor of The Leoninus, and Donald Siedhot, 1952 class president. BLUEPRI You won't find any path in life with big signs showing the right way to Success or Happiness or For- tune . That's one you've got to chart for yourself. Until high school graduation your footsteps are pretty well guided by a blueprint . . . by a plan that's been proved best to give you the right kind of start in life. Now the Class of 1952 is moving beyond that point . . . into a part of life where you make your own paths according to your own plans. T FOR LIFE Some of those paths will take you into business and industry. And there you'll find plans working for you and the folks you do business with. Blue- prints for better products and indus- trial growth, and for steady employ- ment and greater security. Former New Holland students now working with New Holland Machine Company are helping develop and carry out plans'1ike these. Plans for the benefit of community and cus- tomer and company . . . plans for the benefit of all of us. I-Io:.:.nNn NEW HOLLAND., PA.
