Martha Phillips just recently won the National Olympics Women's Skating.0h4m- pionship of the world and is now on a. tour of the world as a reward for success. Donald Gurney has gone to Cheyenne, Wyoming where he has accepted, Professor of English, at Wyoming's leading college. Seems he still has a slight fascination for English Literature even though it gave him a little difficulty in High School. As I was dreaming all these things a bell suddenly began to ring somewhere. I realized it was the emergency bell so my dreams came to an abrupt halt as I hurried to perform my duties. Ruth Ritz, Martha Phillips Stanley Cok, Donald Sharpless CLASS POEM We're wondering how As time takes its' course New Haven will manage Without our force. There is only twelve of us Our number is quite small We are of various sizes Some short and some are tall. We give you now twelve, not found in a book A dozen not sold in a store Some say we have an intelligent look The teachers? They're glad we're not more. Now here's a fellow l'd like you to know He has dark curly hair and a nice fellow, He runs around in Whisper his old dodge Truck, He's built like an ox and his name is Buck. Here's a very nice fellow from out in Dutchtown With a very good nature the whole year round, When it comes to judging vegetables, In the state he was tops, When it comes to telling jokes Baldy never stops. The next person is of a pretty good sort I-Ie's a very good worker and takes jokes like a sport When it comes to ship work, He can make things like new We call him 'Louie', named after a jew. This is a girl whom I think we all know She's a very good worker with lots of git up and go When it comes to her lessons she knows them well Her name is Patty, by this poem you can tell.

Great things come in 'small packages ls the fact as it lies And to this girl it still applies ' When singing songs there comes a chorus She stands out in our class, her name is Dolores. There is a girl with light brown hair She works hard at her lessons with no time to spare She is a very common girl and she saves every penny She is one of twelve in our class, her name is Jennie. Here is a fellow who doesn't smoke Known to all as Stanley Cok He hails from the town of Celeryville And gives all the girls a thrill. Next comes a big blond haired fellow Has a new car, kind of an off shade yellow With a permanent on top of his bean We all know him as Dean . Tho in the class she isn't' first Her big ambition is to be a nurse Probably you've guessed the truth Her name of course it is Ruth . Now here's a fellow not so smart in a quiz But playing basketball he's really a whiz Donald Gurney is well known to all the kids And the girls all 'have in their bids A very fine boy you'll aszree is lour classmate .Elmer Lee He plays as our Varsity center As an all-round guy they aren't any better. Here's some one you know quite well Everybody thinks she's really swell She always does her part To us she is known as Mart . And now our poem is ended We hope that none are offended, The time has come, that we must part, We'll always remember where we got our start. Elmer Clark Clair Buckingham
