Not bad ... not bad at all! My Fair Lady is the story of a penniless flower girl, Eliza Doolittle. Transformed into a duchess by a British phonetician, Eliza reigns suprenne at the Em- bassy Ball. Her road to success is hampered by a suitor, a a drunken father and her love for Higgins. Eliza reaches the end of her road when the suitor is cast aside, her father reformed and Higgins realizes his love for her. Eliza and Higgins are united in a classic happy ending. Miss Eliza Doolittle makes a royal entrance at the Embassy Ball and escapes her past. Not many families have the same relationship as Alfie Doolittle and his daughter Eliza. Perhaps the biggest addition to the shorn was the thirty-two piece orchestra directed by Ron Best. Criticisms and suggestions on Eliza ' s progress are gi en to her by Mr. Higgins ' servants. As the curtain closes, such a successful feeling can be felt only among a leading lady and her director.
