All doors were important to us in our search for suc- cess. We journeyed through doors of classes, friend- ship, and inexperience. Each new word we added to our vocabulary, each new smile, and each new en- counter had a lasting and enriching effect on our lives. Incentive from our parents, teachers, and friends, along with pride in ourselves and our school, were the reasons for the long hours of labor and the sac- rifices that we mode. Confidence in our fellow students, whether it was the team or the supporters in the stands, mode us raise the roof with school yells and congratulate our boys even when a game was lost. All of these we remember with fondness. All of these have made us better citizens of tomorrow. KEYS THAT UNLOCKED All gathered ' round as several New Havenites presented a wide variety of enjoyable talent at this year ' s Halloween porty. The first occurrence of a hootenonny lent a note of originality to this year ' s Student Council Halloween party. Featured were amateur and professional tal- ent. There was also a dance in the girls ' gym. Another Student Council-sponsored event was New Haven ' s annual Christmas dance, the Snowball Hop. This year ' s theme, Winterlude, was carried out with decorations denoting an old-fashioned Christmas. Music was provided for dancing in the cafeteria while refreshments were served in the girls ' gym.
