NATIVE TONGUE-VITAL, NECESSARY EVEN IN FOREIGN LANDS Group translation promotes better comprehension of languages. The language teachers— Miss Burke, Mrs. Rogers, Mr. Seger, and Mr. Steinbach— instruct their students re- garding the language, customs, arts, and background of the country with which the language is associated. Students of today, leaders of tomorrow are encour- aged to meet new goals In the science department, through courses such as biology, chemistry, physics, botany, and zoology. Through these courses students learn about the world in which they live. They also learn what their own bodies contain and how each of their systems and organs function. They are trained in these courses by skilled teachers and mod- ern teaching equipment. The mathematics department also encourages the students to be leaders of tomorrow. Algebra, geome- try, and more advanced courses teach the students to think for themselves and solve problems that con- front them in classrooms and in real life situations. The students in the math department learn by doing. Again, students aren ' t just born leaders. They achieve goals through hard work and experience in both the science and math departments.
