SCIENCE AND MATH Each student throughout his high school life takes some form of science and mathematics. Science includes laboratory work, field trips, the study of matter and energy, and atomic and molecular construction. Biology, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, and Physics are among the many sciences taught. Mathematics includes algebraic formulas, fractions, radicals, symmetrical figures, and logarithms. General Mathematics, Algebra, Plane Geometry, and Trigonometry are a few of the numerous mathematics courses. Robert Anderson displays his science mas- terpiece — Oscar the Robot. ia Ce ptA tutd po t puda,4, Don Stine is very much engrossed in solving his Physics problem with the help of the slide rule. Francisca Cuellar, Marsha Smenner, and Nancy Tigner form a reception line at their Christmas party. The girls made the re- freshments and practiced the art of gra- cious serving. te ttvene tutd 7 te tt Homemaking, Shop, and Art constitute a great part of the courses offered as they prove very valuable in forming creativeness and skill in the student. These subjects require judgement in dealing with problems as well as the ability to comprehend modern methods and equipment. The homemaking courses include sewing, foods, Child Care, and Home Nursing. A few of the subjects offered by the Industrial Arts Department are Machine Shop, Cabinetmaking, and Mechanical Drawing. The model pictured is Sue Ann Brueck, modeling her black sheath, which she made.
