Guthier, has thirtyffoui' members This year the Chorus had a trio and two soloists. The trio was composed of Shelba Adler, Bonnie Miner, and Joan Whitacre, The soloists were Jacqualine Nord and Ree Ann Smith. The accompanists were Shelba Adler and Betty Ann Lie. bert. This year the Chorus participated in the Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christ- mas convocations and the spring concert. During the Christmas holidays they also caroled in the halls. On March 13. the group went to Huntertown for the annual Allen County Choral Festival, The Chorus also participated in the district and state contests held at New Haven and North Manchester College. The band has 45 members. The band officers are as follows: Captain, Bob Wieseg Quartermasters, Thomas Ada ams and Bruce Bone: Secretary, Carla Davidg Librarians, Beth Parent and Janet Benton. During the fall the band marched at football games and participated in the marching contest which was held here. Among the trophies won was the sweep- stakes trophy for having the best band. Winter activities included basketball games and pep sessions. On February 7 the annual district solo and ensemble con- test was held at Harrison Hill. On Febru- ary 21, 26 solos and ensembles went to Butler Universityg eight came back with a superior rating. The band presented the winter and spring concerts and took part in the commencement exercises. Al- so in the spring the banquet was held at which awards were presented.
