For three years we have dreamed of being seniors. Now. having reached that goal, we find the time rapidly passing. With its end come many cherished memories-the many bewildered days as freshmeng our sophomore year marked by sillinessg the pride as juniors of being upperclassmen and the fun involved in presenting the Prom Blue Moon. In our last year we had wonderful 'times pro- ducing the Yankee King, -the reception, Senior Day, and the climax--com- mencement. Our thanks go to our wonderful sponsors for the help they have given us these four years. This space is dedicated to the mem- ory of Harold Lamle, who was a member of this class at the time of his passing in April, 1951. During our freshman year, Harold served as class -treasurer, A gf This Page Sponsored by Blackwel1's Super Market, New Haven, Indiana ARLENE MAE ADAM S.S.S. 3, 4: G.A.A. 1, 2: Chorus 1, 2. The Student Council is affiliated with the National Honor Society in that the organizations are both national in scope. The two groups join in a banquet each spring. Student Council is the service branch of the organization. Monitors for the halls are selected and scheduled by the vice-president of Student Council. The team was small, and because of this was easily injured. Injuries started with the very first game, when quarterback Dick Mat- tingly suffered a broken leg. He was lost to the team for the remainder of the season. There were other minor injuries which disabled the team, but most of these were healed and the boys were usually ready by the time the next game had roll- ed around. All in all, 'taking all facts into consideration. the 1951 Football team had a successful season. Seven seniors are lost by graduation, including that punch of Gladieux and Roemer and the sensational line play of Darvin Strader. 1 1 .3- x. it ily V . K. ,. This small team did an excellent job throughout the season for a 15-won and a 6-loss record. The team lacked height and they lacked weight, but when it came to team spirit and desire to win. the boys were high on both counts. A high uoint of the season was the seven game winning streak with which the tc-am ended the regular season. Another point which stood out more yet was the fact that the Bulldogs became the first county team in two years to defeat the County Champ Huntertown Wildcats. 46 I This Page Sponsored by Dr. C. W. During our freshman and sophomore years, a new and modern elementary school was built. This new school was dedicated in the fall of 1950. During the summer between o-ur sophomore and junior years many changes were taking place. New glass block windows made the outside of our school more modern. The classrooms were painted, new desks were installed, and some fluor- escent lights were added. The addition of hundreds of new books in a modern, well equipped library encouraged reading and studying in a pleasant atmosphere. I 2 l This Page Sponsored by B1ackwe1l's Department Store.
