e O Senior officers and sponsors: Bill Guisinger. treasurerg Mr. Byron Downey, sponsorg Don Ort, president, Carole Kryder, secretaryg Miss Opal Bower, sponsorg James Blaising, vice-presi- dent. The year of 1951 has arrived and our four years at New Haven High School are dreams of yesterday fulfilled. There are ninety-six seniors in all, the largest class to have graduated from New Haven High School. When first entering high school in the Fall of 1947, We were a group of one hundred and four shy freshmen. Our sponsors then were Mr. Byron Downey and Miss Ann Haller. Miss Haller's place was taken by Miss Opal Bower in our senior year. One record of which we are proud, was the winning of first place in decora- lions in the annual clats tournaments all fo ir years. Besides our representation of twelve in the National Honor Society, we also have had our share of officers, captains, and editors of which we are proud. In our freshman and sophomore years we looked forward to becoming upper- classmen. The Prom, with the theme Dancing in the Dark, was the highlight of opzr junior year. We were the first class to be able to use the new building for this sort of affair. As seniors, our Baccalaureate gave us spiritual guidance, and our last social get together was the Prom at which we were honored guests of the juniors. At last the long awaited evening arrived, and we received our diplomas. turn- ed our tassels, and walked out of the beautiful auditorium into the future.
