The first Mirage, published in 1939 by our substitute teacher, Mrs. Meyers, was a paper cover, with few pictures, and mimeographed literary work. From the result of im- proved machinery and ambitious staff members, we have marched a long way to attain the present Mirage. The co-editors, Barbara Bell and Lucille Doctor, with the help of the assist- ant editor, Nancy Fultz, have spent much time supervising the book. Wanda White, Robert Locke, and Joe Kilpatrick made it possible to exceed our advertise- ment goal. The subscription drive was also successfully completed by our sub- scription managers, Marguerite Hamman and Joe Kilpatrick. Other positions were filled as follows: business manager, Waunita Davis, school life, Jerry Kost and Ted Blackg organizations, Margaret Albersmeyer and Don Jackson: literary and copy editors, Nancy Bewley and Donna Ballinger, senior editor, Bonnie Stoneburnerg junior editor, Vera Butt: sophomore editor, Martha Wiedemanng freshman editor, Nancy Davidson, sports, Kieth Emenhiser and Lois Rosswurmg photographers, Terry Smith, Kenneth Renno, Don Putt, and Ervin Kleber.
