L . - Ti fuczlenf ongress Evey Tuesday morning the president, vice-president, and three representa- tives from each class met in room seven under the name of Student Council. This group had a real task to complete because the general purposes of Student Council are: to promote school activities, to develop a respect for school property, to provide for general welfare of the student body. and to aid the administration in advancing its policies for the betterment of the school. The activities of the year included the completion and distribution of the Student Handbook, the conduction of the election for cheer leaders, the arrangements for the Thanksgiving Convocation, and the sponsorship of the t'Snowball Hop. The Student Council. under the supervision of Miss Harriet Daniels was under the leadership of the following officers: president, Doris Meyers, Vice- president, Eunice Heineg secretary, Stephan Bruder: treasurer, Keith Emenhiser. Standing-Donald Jackson, Nancy Fultz, Ruthann Gabet, Betty Fultz, Don Coulardot, Carolyn Davidson, Arthur Ruoff, Jerry Vodde, John Ward, Joe Kilpatrick, and Robert Fleming. lxlirage Affmrns Tile Year Early in the fall Miss Leaird announced the positions for the Mirage staff. October found the Mirage campaign in full swing under the direction of the business manager, Katherine Wiedemann, and the subscription managers, Joanne Poirson and Don Jackson. A total of 333 books was sold. Advertisements were obtained by Robert Fleming and Bonnie Stoneburner. Of course, the editor, David Felt and the assistant editor, Lucille Doctor, were busy planning and supervising the work. Waunita Davis, organization and club editor, did a wonderful job in compil- ing information and news. Betty Fultz and Carolyn Davidson checked the write-ups and assisted the editor in the layout. Miriam Bandelier assisted the three girls in many ways, The class editors: Jerry Vodde, senior class: Barbara Bell, junior class: Nancy Fultz, sophomore class: and Martha Wiedeinann, fresh' man class. checked questionnaires, pictures, and prepared copy. Some positions called for more than others. and many students aided others in getting their work done when their position did not require extra effort. The staff wants to thank Beverly Springer. and Miss Haller for the art work. Other positions were filled as follows: Sports, Donald Coulardot.
