laeAe Kelp 14re not So tieA The Bulldogs started the season very successfully by defeating their first opponent, Hoagland, by a score of l6 to 2. This was the beginning of a wave of victories which lasted until the last game of the tournament, when New Haven lost to Elmhurst. The final score of the tournament was Elmhurst 2 and New Haven U. This defeat took the championship away from New Haven for the first time in three years. This is the finest record held by any school in the county and the Student Body should be proud of the team. ln the championship game, the Elmhurst Troians soon led the way to victory because the Bulldogs were unable to hit. After seven innings of play, the Trojans still nosed out the Bulldogs, won the pennant, and took the trophy back to Elmhurst. The players who receive letters this year are: Kenneth Klenke, Kenneth Hanefeld, Melvin Hernsoth, Clinton Mehring, Charles Hively, Baymond Wiese, Richard Lantz, Francis Bandelier, Bill Bolyard, Arthur Hemsoth, Dale Ehle, Fritz Poepple, Herbert Burgett, and Bo- land Bechtol.
