Say-the girls like to cook too-at least here are two coeds attempting to concoct something to eat. They are Bernice Voors, and Betty Bradtmiller. Shutfleboard is an outstanding activity at our school and several of the juniors en- joy playing it. Watch Richard Rothgeb, Alice Niemeyer, Wilma Lepper, Richard Snyder shuffle away. Click, click, click, go the typewriters as Richard Long, Henry Walter, Kathleen But- ler, Dorothy Miller, and Alberta Fiedler work for speed in typing. Too bad two of the juniors just can't seem to get enough sleep. Oh well, it's more fun sleeping in English anyway. tShhhhh-Wayne Bock and Dean McCord are asleep! 1942? Guess what? Yes, it's in your history book. Perhaps Wayne Edgar, Bonnie Driscoll, or Ray Ehinger might find it for you. No fair peeping! Yes, it's Dan Purvis, our assistant editor of the Mirage and he really knows his photography. Even though they are not in China-Chinese Checkers is fun. Mae Holmes, Elean- ore Federspiel, Algunda Frosch, George Perkins, and Ross Ehle seem to be enjoying them- selves. A hayride was enjoyed in the tall by the juniors. I don't believe the wagons are all here.-No horses. Our library seems to be a room of study and work. We do have good times there. Guess who's studying? The juniors seem to excel in mechanical drawing. See Violet Meyer, and Ralph Ransorne working busily. Who says the juniors are scotch! Here we see Tom Wagstaff treating Virginia Mil- ler to a drink of water between classes. Shh! All alone! Want to hear this one? Ervin Bearrnan, Milton Goeglein, and Orlo Carpenter seem to be talking over something. The girls CCII1 really shoot baskets too. This is demonstrated by Evelyn Lichtsinn, Lelah Rebber, Vera Linker tshe's shooting! and Betty Larson and Helen Fultz. We know what we see and hear. Our bulletin board is one of these sources of in- formation. lt seems Betty Wheeler, Arthur Schmidt, Kenneth Rose, Vondale Hendricks are really trying to see. It really is fun to see the balls fly across the net. Betty Bell, Linda DeRemer, Wanda Putman, Rita Schlink are trying their skill at their ping pong game. David Moehring and Maurice Vonderau, two juniorettes have developed a project for English. They studied-and this was the result.
