Other activities ot the Sunshine Society include a Skating Party, Tag Day, contributing to the Riley fund, sponsoring a show, and taking care ot the check room in the gym. Throughout the year the girls have been active in distributing clothing to the needy children in the school. ln October we had the largest delegation at the District Convention and our forty-tive members and former members attended the State Con- vention at Rensselaer, April 6th, Our officers of the organization are: President, Marjorie Elsong vice president, Carol Adams: secretary, Betty Larson: treasurer, Atheleen Bande- lierp Publicity chairman, Wanda Putman. Battle of Sexes CSocial Science Clubl Ladies and Gentlemen: The Social Science Club broadcasts on a frequency of two nights a month on Thursday night at 7:30 over station N. H. H. S. This program is sponsored by members of history classes and Miss Marjorie Swihart, instructor. This little club has as its purpose the discussion of social problems of the present clay and a clash of opinion can be heard on every broadcast. Tune in next year tor more interesting programs. Our organization has been very active in many projects this year. STARS CDF Tl-IE PRCDGRAM lt is our privilege, dear listeners, to present to you a program with an all star cast. This series of broadcasts is now in its' fourth year and enjoys a vast audience, composed of juniors, sopho- mores, freshmen, faculty and friends. Some of the outstanding stars are Richard Putman, presi- dent, Alfred Meyer, vice president, Wayne Roth- geb, treasurery and Earl Menking, secretary, The program is being sponsored by Miss Harriet Dan- iels and Mrs. Deliah Redman, makers of those famous Pep Pills which work wonders for as- signments in chemistry and English. One of the outstanding broadcasts of this series of programs was the production of Young and Lively. These stars and all their support- ing cast have worked together for four years in anticipation of a trip to the Nation's capitol in the Spring of l94Ufa rest from Hollywood. Professor Quizz in his early interview with the members of this cast finds that their favorite color is bluefwith red predominating for some boys. lt's quite possible that day dreaming-and star gazing entered into the picture. The girls in- dulged in all modern methods of make-up. The favorite nail polish used was red-Kiss-proof lip- stick-and Stick-On powder. The male specie was never without his hair oil and Sen-Sens. And last but not least, that boom to energy-the delight of a senior-the dread of every teacher ichewing gum. As their favorite pasttimes they choose basketball and softball-with danc- ing as a popular social activity, too. The reading habits of the stars deserve men- tion because it was not unusual for a study hall teacher to remove from behind a chemistry note- book, A Comic Book , or a Western Dime Novel. or spy the latest edition of Vogue or a Motion picture magazine slipping unintentionally from the locker of some fair damsel, nor had the seniors outgrown their childish humor for they still enjoy the funnies and 'Dick Tracey and Popeye e. Kay Kyser and Charley McCarthy are the favorite radio stars. And now Professor Quizz, still has a few questions on his mind which he wants to know - What do you remember most from your high school days?- What do you think of New Haven Highu?
