vmnriva 1923 Null as the dude made a tine English- man. After the dolls had demonstrat- ed the outstanding characteristics of the faculty, they showed their Christ- mas spirit by giving each student a lollipop. The Class of Twenty-four gave a very interesting and entertaining pro- gram at the Town Hall. February twenty-second. to celebrate XYashing- ton's birthday. The hall was a bower of red, white and blue flags and deco- rations. Across the front of the stage was N. l-l. H. S. in the purple and gold. which the students have come to love so well. On the left side was the word .luniors in blue and white. Un the right. the year 1924. The class launched this project with fear and trembling. for it was the first time that anything of this nature had been attempted by the high school. but it proved more than they had dared antifipate. The following program was given. National Emblem l-ligh School Orchestra Une act play .-Xunt 3Iatilda's Party junior Girls Carry ale Hack to Old Yirginny Tenting Tonight Summer Twilight Klannny's Lullaby N. H. H. S. llirls' Quartette Greatest .-Xchievement of the Centuries Col. .Xlfred l-. Kloudy The girls upheld the scliool's tradi- ,ion with ease in their presentation of the one act play. They showed unus- ual ability as amateurs in acting and appearance. The girls' quartette is a newly acquired feature which shows possibilities. The orchestra was quite above par and deserves the staunch support of the school, The central thought of Colonel Kloudy's lecture was the Constitution of the Cnited States. l-le gave his theme in an inter- esting manner and was positive in his assertion that this document ii the greatest achievement of the centuries. The -luniors adopted the following resolution to be published in the Hi- Lite: XX'e. the .lunior Class. wish to thanlq the outside members of the orchestra. the cluartette and Senior girls who helped to make the evening a success.
