Each of you came to us with some objective in mind. You have been striving to attain your goal, to realize your ambitions. But now that you have completed your work here and are about to receive your diploma as a token of your success, you will discover new fields to conquer. You will be faced with greater problems. New objectives. even more difficult to attain will ever confront you. Today our country and the other liberty-loving countries are at war. XV e are fighting to preserve our democratic ideals which guarantee to every boy and girl the right to free thought and independent livingg the right to determine one's own objectives. XVe all have a part to play in this great struggle. Let us so dedicate ourselves individually to this duty that we shall all be worthy of the victory which I am sure will be ours. It is my sincere wish that in the years of peace which follow, this book will help you re-live many of the happy hours that you have spent here with your classmatesg that the pictures in this book will keep alive friendships that had their beginnings hereg that this book will be a constant inspiration to urge you on to new and greater goals.
