R3 5144 W -A W ' ' lvg ue ab .41 ,, ' H Q f wha 0 n' ' i ' I ' ' f I . f . L.: lu ilu C lass 0 1947 lt is indeed pleasurable for ine to contemplate on the fact that tlll'Cl' years ago, yours was the first class I organized in my capacity as principal of the afternoon school. I recall many of the admonitions I gave you at that time, many of the goals I set for you to attain, and now, it is clear that not only have you been singularly heedful, but also eminently successful in attaining your ultimate goal. Once again, you make a beginning toward new goals, the greatest of which is to be Won only by close adherence to those principles of personal sacrifice and self-reliance, and the exercising of an indomitable will to aid the war effort of our country, until victory is won. Moreover, you must fight until those forces which militate against the tenents of democracy and right living have been irrevocably purged, and those dominent traits of the American national character, so well typified in you young men and women, have been allowed to flourish unhampered by those who would repress them. VV ith sincere best wishes to each member of the class. Cordially yours, Emxloxs 1. Bow1cN, N. H. H. S. '15 18 Y-is
