Under the circumstances it is eminently fitting that the graduating Class of l934 of New Haven High School should have a code. Let us name it the H.H.S. These letters, while reminding us of Hillhouse High School with its long, rich history, might well be interpreted as standing for l-l'ealth . Hard XVork . and Square Dealing . XVithout health one is handicapped in any walk of life. Health is imperative if one wishes to perform well the tasks of life. Therefore, strive to be physically strong and well. Hard work under proper conditions never hurts anyone. ln the accomplishment of a hard task well done, there comes a certain satisfaction which can bc acquired in no other way. Therefore. do not shirk, but be a hard worker. He is a 'square shooter' is a phrase often heard. Square dealing' pays. There- fore. strive to win confidence and respect. If New Haven High School has helped you to appreciate thc full meaning of health. hard work, and square dealing. your stay within its walls has been well worth-while.
