Furthermore. the character of a man may he interpreted through his friends: for the kind he chooses reflects the inan himself. Therefore, it is vitally necessary to choose the right type of friends. Friendships have a potent and lasting influence upon our lives, Particularly is this true of the friendships formed hetween students. and hetween students and teachers during the four year spent at New Haven High School. Such friendships necessarily play a large part in our lives. Hence. as graduates, we recall our high school days with ever increasing pleasure. For our friends we sacrificeg with our friends we suffer and rejoice: to our friends we loyally give our hest: from our friends we receive counsel and aclviceg hy our friends we are inspired to the highest ideals: without friends life would he lonely and hardly worthwhile. The friendly spirit of the class of 1929 is an outstanding characteristic. This spirit will do much to enrich the larger life which you are ahout to enter.
