:Swans f ityxa , ,'UlE mai TO THE CLASS OF 1927: Graduation activities luring us mixed feelings of joy and sadness. Before us, in the future, are adventures which we eagerly and joyfully anticipate, and behind lie many pleasant relations, parting with which brings real regret. The four years of high school now passed leave remembrances of failures and successes. But the prevailing mood is one of looking forward to the new responsi- bilities which we shall have to accept. The way in which we meet these responsi- bilities and carry on will be the test of our four year high school education. Not just the lessons prepared nor the recitations made nor the social activities engaged in, but the things which have entered into our character during these four years, as we have seen and used our opportunities aright, will he the proof of the value gain- ed from New Haven High, If you members of the Class of 1927 meet these new problems with open minds, cool judgment, determination, and a consideration for others, you will have caught and lived up to the spirit and tradition of New Haven High. No one doubts you will. RALPH XVENTWORTII, Asst. Principal 15
