Through the eyes of Willie Wildcat, this year's Hanoverian Staff is attempting to re-create the mem- orable events, the classes, and the people who played so great a part in the past year's school life. Willie will take each of us on o tour of our school, to get a look at the activities which went on in our organizations, to catch a glimpse of the dances and thrilling sport events, and to see our faculty and student body. As we turn the leaves of this book, we will see a picture story of the year 1956-l957-a year in which our football team came forward with the best scores in the seniors' high school career, a year in which the Student Congress played host to a most successful Student Congress- Council Convention, a year in which our musical and dramatic stage pro- ductions rose to a new height in entertainment. The Staff hopes that at some later date in each of our lives, we will again open our annuals, scan these pages, and remember with tears and smiles the wonderful days spent at New Hanover High.
