CLASS POEM As now we take our leave, O School, of thee, Nostalgic memories flash across our minds. Each Senior in his thought of thee still finds In backward glances many joys to see: Teachers—loved far more for what they seem to be Than for instruction of so many kinds, And friendship forged with powerful tie that binds Our hearts to them, dear School, and so to thee. ’Tis hard to say goodbye, but this we must, And turn our eyes toward what the future holds, Uncertain tho’ it be, we put our trust In Him whose loving care always enfolds Those who for guidance seek his wise and just And ever-loving care for those He molds.
