It was you who told us we would get out of high school just what we put into it. It was you who showed us how to begin—which foot to put forward. It was you who held us back when we began running too fast. Steel discipline flavored with love helped you to lead us aright. Many times you have borne the responsibility of foolish things to shield us. You have been our friend, our counselor, our leader. When we think of high school in the coming years, we will think of many things—good times, friends, good days, bad days, lessons—a jumble of memories. But always the one thing that will stand out sure and strong in our mind will be the thought of one who directed all of this activity, yet had time to understand each of us in our troubles or joys.
