55575 ' Class On a September morning in 1948 thirty shy and bashful Freshmen enter ed four years of learning at New Glarus High School Members in our class that first year were Patricia Elmer Paul Heller LaVonne Hilliard Earl Jacobson Olga Klossner Rose Kuenzi, Curtney Matzinger Jerry Meland Roy Neuenschwander Delano Nybroten Judy Pauli Ronald Rear Emil Schadewalt Helen Waefler Ernest Strahm Josephine Sissons Kendall Albertson Darold Albertson Ronald Arneson Herbert Baumgartner Arthur Colvin Helen Colden Dick Dahnke Audrey Duerst Fred Duerst Elaine Elmer John Funseth Pauline Grossenbacher and Darlene Hoesly Judith Anderson Join ed us in about the second week of school after recovering from the mumps dent Judy Pauli Vice President Dick Dahnke Secretary Audrey Duerst Treasurer Helen Waefler During the year Helen Colden withdrew from the ranks We all sur vived initiation and settled down for a b g year Our Sophomore year found us with twenty six students in our class Dur mg the summer L.aVonne Hilliard moved to Monticello Ronald Rear trans ferred to Monroe and Ronald Arneson moved to Argyle Darold Albertson left us and Johnnie Beutler Joined us Class officers were President Earl acobson Vice President Roy Neuenschwander Secretary Rose Kuenzi Ireasurer Pauline Grossenbacher The one important event of the year was when we mnitiated the Freshmen in grand style Hlstory The big event of our Junior year was of course, the unior Prom with Some where Over The Rainbow as our theme Jerry Meland and Rose Kuenzl reigned as king and queen Another highlight of the year was when we received our class rings Class officers for the year were President Dick Dahnke Vice President Helen Waefler Secretary Judy Anderson Treasurer Pauline Grosenbacher During the summer before our Junior year we lost Arthur Colvin and during school, Emil Schadewaldt moved to Rockford and Kendall Albertson dropped out Marvin Roach was with us for awhile and Herman Feller transferred here from Monticello At the end of the year we had twenty four students year of high school on September 4 1951 Olga Klossner and Rose Kuenzi did not enter their Senior year Our class officers were President Dick Dahnke Vice President Earl Jacobson Secretary Delano Nybroten Treasurer Roy Nuneschwander Graduatlon occurred May 31 1952 Class colors Maroon and Silver Class motto The World Is Divided Into People Who Do Things And People Get The Credit Try To Belong To The First Class There ls Far Less Com petition 5 C3 N Z' O 55 I Q are 'I Q J if ay H15 fl 1 HE C - - 'I . .
