The NEHS Tigers won their 28th annual Homecoming game on a forfeit by the Carson Chieftans, 18- 0. Following the game, Janel Jalbert and Charlie Frank were crowned Queen and King. Their attendants were Kolleen Koppinger and Rick Cordon, Gae Austin and Brian Flyberg, and Kari Koppinger and Brad Erickson. The featured band at the dance was the 1 'Primo Boogie Band . The Senior Class of 1978 had the winning float for the second consecutive year with their slogan, 1 'Eat 'Em Up! '' Which is exactly what we did... Who are those bashful M.C. 's? ! n n n 1978 Homecoming Royalty from Left to Right are: Bobbi Kaufman, Jodi Zueger, Debbie Olson, Queen Gae Austin, King Brad Erickson, Todd Lutz, Casey Doe and Terry Urlacher. Jeff Cristianson, President of the 1979 Senior Class, receives the trophy for the winning float from Mr. Lechler. The winning slogan was 1 'Whale On 'Em! '' 1978 Following a week of frenzied activity, the Flasher Bulldogs were defeated by a strong NEHS Tiger Football team in the annual Homecoming game, 56-0. One of the highlights of the week was the Hootenany. A take-off of Saturday Night Live, the '78 hootenany was one of the best in quite a while. Gae Austin and Brad Erickson were the crowned Queen and king at the dance which featured the band Roughrider . Such excitement! ! ! Such activity! ! ! What a week, what a night... 9
