PEP CLUB There were forty three members in our Pep Club this year. We elected Pat Rafferty as our president. We had a drill for our booster game and we held our annual banquet in the spring. The New England Tigers forged Into the 1960 football season with four returning lettermen: Robert Erickson, Willard Dill, Junior Dukart, and Ricky Bohlman. The fighting Tigers were overpowered In the two contests on their fall schedule In which they met the Regent, North Dakota and Savage, Montana teams. During the season a 6-8 man football conference was organized for the purpose of creating a greater Interest In football in smaller schools. The participating schools were Reeder, Rhame Scranton, and New England. Coach Ray Frank of New England was named president of the association, with Verne Anderson of Reeder serving as vice-president, and Supt. Broton of New England as secretary-treasurer. It was decided that a trophy would be awarded each year to the championship team in the conference. Returning for this years track team were: Robert Erickson, Donald Farber, Frank Powell Alton Steinaetz, and Ricky Bohlman. Under the direction of Coach Frank they took part in the Killdeer invitational meet, the Dickinson Jaycee's meet, and the district and conference meets which were both held at Dickinson.
