This honorary society was founded in the Univer- sity School c! Music, Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1903 by seven women students. It now consists of seventy six active chapters and thirty-three alumnae chap- ters. Lambda Chapter was installed at the New Eng- land Conservatory in June, 1915. Mu Phi Epsilon was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1903. As in the past, it maintains national con- test awards and scholarships. Each chapter an- nually awards a scholarship to one of its members.
