COLE, Solfeggio and Miisic in Public Schools. Born in Meriden, N. H. Pupil of S. B. Whitney and John W. Tufts and at the New England Conservatory. Author of musical text-books. Born in Troy, N.Y., where he studied Piano and Singing, went abroad in 1879, entered Leipsic Conservatory, where he studied under Rebling and Grill, continued Voice Study with Lamperti, taught in Troy and Albany, after returning home in 1882, organized the Troy Choral Club, which he conducted until called to the New England Conservatory in 1896. JOSEF ADAMOWSKI, Violoneello. Born in Warsaw, Poland. Educated in Warsaw Con- servatory, studied in Moscow under Fitzenhagen and N. Rubinstein, graduated with honors, diploma and medal.
